Unpolished Pen: Today marks day 5 of Claire being home sick from school, and now we've both been diagnosed with the misery that is the adeno virus. I hardly ever get sick, but when I do I'm a big baby. I'm so thankful for this man who, when I dissolved in tears in his office while stopping by to grab Evan's car seat for pickup, sent me and Claire home, picked up Evan, brought us all lunch, went grocery shopping, worked from home and handled the kids while I slept all afternoon, made milkshakes for the girls' sore throats and is now making his Mimi's famous Chex mix with the kids. He will never see this, but he deserves the shout-out.
