2016 Boston Marathon in the bag! Not my best time, but what an absolutely incredible experience! The crowd support was beyond anything I'd imagined and it kept a smile on my face for the first 14 miles. I bet I high-fived 500 little kids. Around mile 17 things started to get dicey and I treated myself to a bathroom break. And around mile 20 I remembered why once upon a time I vowed never to run another marathon without *really* training. No worries, by that point I was close enough to walk it in if I had to, and that's exactly what I did for all of miles 21 (they don't call it Heartbreak Hill for nothing) and 23. I finished on fumes but the only thing that matters is I finished! Wahoo! Now we're off to eat all the food and drink all the beer and then sleep, sleep, sleep. Thank you to my amazing friends and family for all of your love and support. I love you all! #bostonmarathon #doneanddone #gotthatmedal #didnotdie #thankyoujesus #unpolishedpen 2016 Boston Marathon in the bag! Not my best time, but what an absolutely incredible experience!
